Turned from reclaimed white cedar, this vessel preserves a small section of the tree's natural edge, including traces of bark that connect the finished object to its origin.
The form is intentionally simple, allowing the grain, subtle color variations, and natural features of the wood to remain the focus. The preserved edge introduces an organic contrast to the refined curve of the bowl, creating a dialogue between the tree as it grew and the object it became.
Compact in scale yet rich in character, the piece brings warmth and material presence to a table, shelf, bedside, or desk.
Each vessel is shaped and finished by hand, making it unique to the piece of wood from which it was created.
