Turned from reclaimed spotted jacaranda recovered in Mexico City, this vessel reveals the unpredictable character hidden within the tree.
As the wood was shaped at the lathe, natural features emerged from beneath the surface: knots, small voids, mineral staining, and subtle cracks formed through growth, weather, and time. Rather than being removed, these marks were preserved as part of the material's history.
The result is a piece defined not by uniformity, but by individuality. No two sections of jacaranda carry the same figure, texture, or record of the life that produced them.
Finished by hand with food-safe oils, natural waxes, and Klára Wax, the vessel retains the warmth and tactile character of the wood while remaining suitable for everyday use.A singular object shaped from a singular piece of timber.
