Each one began as reclaimed materials with a specific history; a tree that fell outside a university, a branch recovered from a city street, a section of timber someone else considered worthless. At the lathe, something unexpected emerged: a grain pattern, a void, a spalting line that crossed the form in a way that will never be repeated.
