Commissions & Architectural Collaborations

Some projects begin with a space. Others begin with a single object.

Nanous Workshop collaborates with architects, interior designers, hospitality studios, and private collectors to create wooden objects and architectural pieces defined by material honesty, atmosphere, and permanence.

The work ranges from single collectible objects to larger spatial interventions developed specifically for a project, a client, and a space.

Every commission begins with a conversation about intention, material, scale, and light. From there, Álvaro de Luna develops a proposal tailored to the project and the character of the space.

Projects are approached selectively and produced in limited volume from the workshop in México.

Areas of Collaboration

Collectible Objects

Turned bowls, vessels, platters, lamps, and forms developed in solid hardwoods.

Architectural Pieces

Furniture, integrated wood elements, and custom interventions designed in dialogue with the surrounding architecture and material palette.

Hospitality & Interior Series

Small-batch collections developed for hotels, restaurants, cafés, and residential interiors, including repeatable object series and lighting collections.

Bespoke Writing Objects

Custom pen series and desk objects created for collectors, private commissions, and corporate gifting.

Working With Architects & Interior Designers

The most enduring spaces are often defined by the objects that inhabit them quietly.

Nanous Workshop works directly with architects and interior designers to develop wooden objects and architectural pieces that feel integrated into the atmosphere of a space rather than added afterward.

The process is collaborative, material-driven, and intentionally unhurried. Wood is selected specifically for the environment, the light, and the intended presence of the object within the room.

Commissions may include:

  • Turned object collections
  • Signature lamp series
  • Focal pieces
  • Architectural wood elements
  • Custom furniture developed for specific interiors

For larger series and hospitality projects, prototypes and material samples are developed before production begins.
